Calligraphy in the 21st Century from A-Z


In this day of Facebook, Twitter, E-mails and texts, handwriting seems to be a thing of the past. This two-part workshop will teach you the basics of calligraphy using a pen and nib dipped into ink. The first class will focus on the letters A-L and M-Z in the second.

Please note this is not your grandmother’s calligraphy. (with all due respect to grandma)

Monday Jan 7+14 from  7-9 pm $90 total.
please bring $10 to the first class to purchase a calligraphy starter kit
which includes: includes a pen, nib, bottle of ink, how-to guide and practice sheets.
Instructor:

Maybelle Imasa-Stukuls received her BFA at the University of Hawai’i with a studio emphasis in Ceramics and Graphic Design. She has been a professional calligrapher for ten years and has collaborated on projects with Chronicle Books, Martha Stewart Weddings,Victoria and Sunset magazines. She lives in Oakland with her husband Greg, three-year old twins and their dog, Kiki.
