Form and Future w/ Willo O’Brien
Form and Future is a new interview series in San Francisco. Hear local designers, artists, and makers share their stories, and get advice about following your own creative path. Join Form & Future at Makeshift Society on the second Thursday of every month for a new interview series. Each month, we’ll be chatting with local designers, artists, and makers about how they got started, what they love about their craft, and their advice for new creatives.
Our kickoff event is with creative catalyst/entrepreneur, Willo O’Brien. Willo shares her passion through writing, speaking, and WilloToons Connect, a video series dedicated to discussing Creative Sustainability with other successful artists whose craft has evolved into a business. She also helps people get unstuck and find their magic with Mati Rose through a 5-week e-course, ReConnect.
Both designers and artists will be interested in Willo’s creative journey, and are invited to ask her questions about how to do what you love.
Form and Future was founded by Laura Helen Winn, a designer in San Francisco, to inspire beginners to pursue their passions wholeheartedly. Seeking mentorship is integral to Laura’s creative practice, and she saw an opportunity to foster a community of encouragement and knowledge-sharing. Her endeavor gives rookies the opportunity to ask questions, and makers a moment to reflect on their craft. She feels incredibly lucky that she chats with smart, interesting people regularly. Refreshments will be provided. The event starts at 7:30, so please arrive at least 15 minutes early.
